Major 20th Century British artist best known for his abstract, panoramic depictions of landscapes near his home close to Petworth, West Sussex.

Ivon Hitchens’s paintings are represented in the collection of the Bowerman Charitable Trust at Champs Hill, Coldwaltham, and will feature in the Trust’s autumn 2025 exhibition, which focusses on the work of his son John: Sussex Vision - John Hitchens and Other Painters Responding to the Sussex Landscape.
