PETER IDEN
Peter Iden (1945 - 2012) lived in West Sussex . When he first started as a full time artist after working in an architect’s office, he painted architectural perspectives, but then concentrated on watercolours of local landscapes
After a serious illness in the early 1990s, Iden moved to painting in oil, capturing the South Downs a vibrant abstract style.
Peter Iden’s abstract work is represented in the collection of the Bowerman Charitable Trust at Champs Hill, Coldwaltham, and his work is included in the Trust’s autumn 2025 exhibition Sussex Vision - John Hitchens and Other Painters Responding to the Sussex Landscape.
